It is a new year, and you know what that means… It’s time to get moving and kick start 2021 with a bang! I think it is safe to say that improving one’s fitness is on most people’s resolutions list. This is a fantastic goal. Keeping the body in motion can help improve both mental and physical health, and after the year we’ve just had, I think we could all use some self-care to start the year off right!
Unfortunately, for most fitness tends to be the focus in the first couple of months, and then it gets put on the back burner when life gets in the way. The truth is life will always happen… ALWAYS. Whether that is a pandemic closing your gym or your meeting running late, it is up to YOU to show up and put in the work. Let’s make 2021 the year of sticking to our resolutions!
Here is a great home workout for those busy days you can keep in your arsenal that is sure to make you sweat and achieve those fitness goals!
Warm Up: “The Shake Off”

- 30 sec running butt kicks
- 30 x squats
- 30 sec high knee run
- 30 sec jump squats
- 30 sec running butt kicks
Circuit 1: “Lift Off”
2-3 Rounds
- 45 sec jump squats
- 45 sec stationary walkout
- 30 sec jump squats
- 30 sec shoulder bear crawl shoulder taps
- 15 sec sprint on the spot
- 15 sec middle push up hold
Circuit 2: “Pushup Countdown”
1 Rounds
- 10 x push ups – 2 sec bottom hold
- 8 x push ups – 4 sec bottom hold
- 6 x push ups – 6 sec bottom hold
- 4 x push ups – 8 sec bottom hold
- 2 x push ups – 10 sec bottom hold
Circuit 3 – “Walking Funny”
2 Rounds
- 1 min sumo squat kick outs
- 1 min plank step outs
- 45 sec sumo squat kick outs
- 45 sec plank side touches
- 30 sec sumo squat kick outs
